What we make, and what we do not
The second half of that sentence is the useful one. A supplier who says yes to everything costs you two emails and a week before you find out, so the limits are on this page alongside the range. If we are the wrong factory for your part, we would rather you knew now.

Custom work: what we take on
The common reason customers move to us is not price. It is that their current supplier will not change a dimension — changing a size means changing tooling, and a plant geared to long runs of standard parts declines.
At this size range the tooling is small and gets changed often, so a modified feature is usually a die adjustment rather than a new programme. To be precise about what that covers: an unusual diameter is often still a catalogue item — M1.7 and M2.2 sit on distributors' shelves. What does not is a modified feature: a head diameter that has to clear a housing, a thread length stopping short of a shoulder, a non-standard pitch, a drive the standard does not specify.
Send the drawing or the sample and we will tell you whether it is a modification or a new part, and what that means for lead time — before quoting.
What falls outside
Listing this costs us some enquiries. It costs both of us less than finding out on the third email.
- Below M1.0. Specialist micro-screw houses go further down; we do not.
- Above M16. Structural and construction bolting is a different plant.
- Small quantities of standard building fasteners. For a few thousand drywall or wood screws in a stock size, distributor stock will reach you sooner and cheaper than a production run here.
- Prototype quantities. Our minimum starts at ten thousand. If you need fifty pieces to prove a design, a machining house or a catalogue supplier is the right route — come back when the design is fixed and the volume is real.
- Medical device quality systems. We hold ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. We do not hold ISO 13485, and we will say so rather than let it surface during an audit.
Documentation we can discuss
Requirements vary by market, and it is better to raise them at enquiry than at first delivery. Tell us which of these your process needs and we will tell you what we can evidence today:
- EN 10204 inspection documents — which type your order requires
- RoHS declarations, where parts enter electronic products
- REACH SVHC statements — these come from the plating supplier, not from us directly
- Material certificates and batch traceability
- Embedded emissions data — ask before committing to volume; note that most buyers at this size sit under the CBAM de minimis threshold of 50 tonnes of CBAM goods per importer per year
